Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) with the support of Prometrics – one of the best providers of test development and test delivery solutions conducted Common Admission Test (CAT) over a 21-day test drive between 11 October 2012 and 6 November 2012. More than 2 lakh aspirants appeared in computer based CAT examination at 61 test centres across 36 cities.
These aspirants are relentlessly waiting for their results. Their wait will be over by 9 January 2013 as IIM is expected to declare the result of CAT examination 2012 on 9 January 2013. Candidates will be able to view their results by logging in the CAT website www.catiim.in with their registered username and password followed by their roll number.
Shortlisted candidates will have to further go through the second stage and this phase may include the below mentioned processes:
Clearing the written examination will not entitle an aspirant to get admission in various IIMs. Performance in the above mentioned process will also be accounted for final result preparation. Besides this, previous academic records, relevant work experience of the candidates will also be taken into consideration in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. Each IIM will provide the list of shortlisted candidates on individual websites and also send interview letters to the candidates. However, the selection criteria including weightage of marks, academic records and allied processes may vary in different IIMs.
