CBSE Board Exam 2017: CBSE Class 12 Economics 2017 Paper Analysis and Review

CBSE Class 12 Economics board exam 2017 was held today (i.e. Monday, 17th April) from 10.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. Students of CBSE Class 12 having Economics as one of their subjects appeared for the exam today. The pattern of the paper was according to the latest CBSE sample paper for class 12 Economics.  Most of the students were satisfied with the way CBSE 12th Economics question paper was set.

Format of CBSE Class 12th Economics board exam 2017 question paper

In CBSE Class 12 Economics 2017 board paper, there were 2 sections i.e., section A and section B. Question number 1 to 15 were in section A, these questions were based on Microeconomics. Question number 16 to 30 were in section B, these questions were based on Macroeconomics. There was no overall choice in the question paper; however, internal choices were present in some questions. Students needed to solve 100 marks paper within 3 hours of duration.

General Instructions mentioned in CBSE Class 12th Economics 2017 board exam question paper

All questions in both sections are compulsory. However, there is internal choice in some questions.

Marks for questions are indicated against each question.

Question No.1-5 and 16-20 are very short answer questions carrying 1 mark each. They are required to be answered in one sentence.

Question No.6-8 and 21-23 are short answer questions carrying 3 marks each. Answers to them should not normally exceed 60 words each.

Question No.9-11 and 24-26 are also short answer questions carrying 4 marks each. Answers to them should not normally exceed 70 words each.

Question No.12-15 and 27-30 are long answer questions carrying 6 marks each. Answers to them should not normally exceed 100 words each

Answers should be brief and to the point and the above word limit be adhered to as far as possible.

Feedback or review of CBSE 12th Economics board exam’s question paper

According to the students, the question paper was quite easy and as per the blue print of the CBSE sample paper for class 12 economics. They further added that the question paper was straightforward and the difficulty level of the paper was average. Most of the students were able to finish the paper within time and are expecting a decent score.

According to CBSE Date Sheet, the next important exams for CBSE Class 12th Students are Hindi Elective and Hindi Core. These papers are scheduled to be held on 22nd April, 2017 from 10.30 A.M. to 1.30 P.M.
