The Delhi University came out with their first cut off list on 26 June 2012. The second cut off is scheduled to be out on 29 June 2012.Though the land was rough with the first list, with most colleges going high on the percentage banner, the situation however guarantees a competitive environment for students in the days to come.
Like always, BCom (Hons) and Economic (Hons) stood at the peak points with the highest cut off . Hindu College came up with a near to flawless 99.25% for BCom (hons)where as SRCC stood at an interestingly low scale i.e. 96.5%-98.5%.After receiving criticism last year for bringing in a whopping 100% as their cut for BCom, SRCC seems to be on a path of low key this season. Hansraj College stood straight at 96.25%-98.25%, bringing in a hike of 0.25% in comparison to the last year.
With the onset of second cut off list peeking in, students can take a sigh of relief. All the students who couldn’t make it due to the sky rocket first cut off list, will soon have their golden chance to get to their desired college. Going by the second cut off last year, 2011 the second cut off list in 2012 should ideally view a 1-2% dip in most courses.
Interestingly, the cut off’s for the OBC category has gone up by 2-3% in commerce and science courses. D.U admissions opened on 4 June 2012 and ended on 18 June 2012. A majestic number of 1.46 lakh students applied to the university this year, 2012.
