What is Mechatronic engineering?
Mechatronics is a combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering and information technology. Mechatronics is a design process to create more functional and adaptable products. For example, a computer hard disc drive, CD or DVD player, a video cassette recorder (VCR, all are the innovatory products of mechatronic engineering. Every product is essentially mechanical in nature, with integral design of the electrical and computer control systems that are critical to its operation.

A Mechatronics engineer’s job is to unite the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing to produce a smart, reliable and economical system.
