Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) invited Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for the posts of Naib Tehsildar, Class-II (Gazetted) in the Department of Revenue, Himachal Pradesh. Interested candidates can apply online till 17 November 2012 through the proforma application to be made available on Commissions’ website http://www.hp.gov.in.in/hppsc.

Pay Scale: Rs.10300-34800 + Rs.4200 (Grade Pay)
Educational Qualifications: Graduate from a government recognized University or equivalent.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2012):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 45 years
(The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for bonafide SC/ST/OBC/WFF/PWD candidates of HP)
A non-refundable Examination fee of Rs.250 (for general category candidates of HP and all candidates of other states) / Rs.63 for SC/ST/ OBC candidates of HP has to be deposited at any branch of Punjab National Bank through an e-Challan generated through the Commission’s website: www.hp.gov.in/hppsc.
Candidates would be required to update fee deposit information: Transaction No., Branch Code and Date of Receipt before the last date in the Fee Details link in the same Login ID.
How to Apply
Candidates should apply online through the website http://www.hp.gov.in/hppsc .
After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and submit the same along with requisite attested documents / certificates in support of their eligibility to the Commission on the day of Screening Test for the concerned post.
The benefit of reservation for various post(s) will be admissible only to the candidates, who are bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh in respect of categories, viz., SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen, WFF and Physically Disabled (Blind / Visually Impaired / Orthopedically Disabled / Hearing Impaired / Deaf & Dumb) etc.
The reserved category candidates belonging to other states will be treated as General Category Candidates and the benefit of reservation and fee concession will not be admissible to such candidates.
Final Selection would be done on the basis of candidates’ performance in Main written examination and in the viva-voce
The selection process would comprise of an objective type Screening Test, followed by Main written examination and viva-voce. All the stages would be qualifying in nature and those qualifying in the previous stage would be allowed to appear for the next one.
The Screening Test will consist of one paper of General Knowledge of 120 Objective Type Multiple Choice questions for short-listing the candidates for the Main Written Examination.
Candidates qualifying the Screening test will be entitled to appear for the Main Written Examination consisting of four papers. The number of candidates to be called for Main Written Examination will be 20-25 times the total number of vacancies.
Candidates clearing the Screening test will be required to apply for Main written examination separately on the prescribed application form, which will be uploaded on the official website of the Commission after the declaration of result of Screening Test for the post of Naib Tehsildar.
Candidates clearing the Main Written Examination would be called for viva-voce. The total number of candidates to be called for viva-voce would be three times the total number of posts advertised.
Candidates will have to download their e-Admission Letter for the post concerned from the Commission’s official website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc. and paste their passport size photograph duly attested by a Gazetted Officer on the space provided on the Downloaded e-Admission Letter, failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear in the Screening Test / Examination.
