IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A) welcomes 12th PGPX batch for the year 2017-18

IIM Ahmedabad welcomes the twelfth batch of one year full time residential Post Graduate Programme in Management for Executives (PGPX) programme for the year 2017-18. The current batch was inaugurated on April 13, 2017 by the esteemed director of IIM-A, Professor Ashish Nanda.

Batch Profile of IIM-A PGPX students

There are 115 students in the 12th batch of PGPX programme. The current batch comprises of students from diverse educational backgrounds. In the whole batch there are 25 per cent female MBA aspirants. Another highlighting act about the current batch is 57 per cent of the batch has worked abroad before joining PGPX at IIM-A. The current batch also has 25 per cent proportion of non-engineers aspirants.

PGPX Programme was launched by the institute in the year 2006. Till date, 900 students have already graduated from the institute under this programme. The PGPX programme has been ranked No. 1 or 2 world-wide in Career Progress in Financial Times Global MBA Rankings.

In the previous year, the batch size of PGPX was of 90 students. But from this year, IIM-A has added one more section to enhance learning experience of participants.

Professor Sunil Sharma, Chairperson of PGPX programme said “To me, everybody who is part of IIMA family is privileged. Use this opportunity to give expression and lift to your wings. Many have done this before you and they have emerged from this ‘tapovan’ and ‘tapasya’ to become extraordinary problem solvers and leaders”.
