IIM Bodh Gaya that has recently announced the admission criteria for its 3rd batch of PGP students. As per the admission criteria set by the institute, changes have been brought about in various parameters of final selection criteria of admission. Take a look at the details that will help you seek admission in one of the best institutes of India.

CAT 2017 Cut-off Criteria

As per the admission criteria decided by IIM Bodh Gaya, the institute has kept 80 percentile is the minimum sectional score to clear the cut-off. The overall score to make it to the institute for the general category is 90 percentile.

As per our observation, we could conclude that the institute has raised the bar for the candidates belonging to SC and ST category whereas for the general category candidates, the criteria remain the same. Last year, where the sectional cut-off for SC and ST candidates was 60 percentile and 50 percentile respectively, this year it was raised to 75 percentile and 65 percentile respectively for them.

Take a note that only those candidates, securing the above mentioned minimum percentile in each category in CAT 2017 will only be considered for appearing in the following rounds of the selection process.

Relevance of Work Experience

Having a work experience is a noteworthy thing which is often valued while seeking admission. IIM Bodh Gaya has also allotted a weightage of maximum 3 marks for those having relevant work experience. A candidate’s final score for selection in IIM bodh Gaya will be calculated on the basis of the parameters provided in the table below:

The above table makes it evident that maximum weightage has been allotted to the performance in the CAT 2017 and Personal Interview. In addition, least weightage has been allocated to the Gender Diversity Factor in the current admission process.

In the year 2017, IIM Bodh Gaya has brough relevant changes in the admission criteria. Weightages for CAT score and PI factors have increased from 15 to 20 whereas the score for Gender Diversity factor weightage has increased from 1 point to 2 points. At present IIM Bodh Gaya, currently being mentored by IIM Calcutta and it is the 16th IIM to be established. The upcoming batch of PGP students will be its third batch.
