Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) declared the 4th Combined Competitive Examination (State Civil Services) final result on 27 November 2012. The exam topper Lekhraj Nag in an interview with Kunal Jha of Jagranjosh.com shares his success story. He gives a lot of importance to Internet and considers it of great help for Civil Services Aspirants. It took him six years of study and preparation to finally taste success. It was his third attempt.
Jagranjosh.com- How do you feel after getting success in Jharkhand PCS exam?
Lekhraj Nag- I feel great. Although I was sure of my success, getting first rank was more than I had expected.
Jagranjosh.com- Please tell us about your schooling and higher education.
Lekhraj Nag- I did my schooling from Saraswati Shishu Mandir and St. Ignatius High School. I did my intermediate from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. Afterwards, I cleared graduation with History honours from Kartik Oraon College. I did my masters in public administration from Eastern Institute for Integrated Learning in Management, Sikkim.
Jagranjosh.com- When did you choose to become a civil servant?
Lekhraj Nag- I thought of becoming a civil servant while I was doing my graduation.
Jagranjosh.com-What was the reason behind choosing to become a civil servant?
Lekhraj Nag- I come from a very backward district as well as state. I wanted to do something for my region. That’s why I choose to become a civil servant.
Jagranjosh.com – Did you take help from Internet during your exam preparation?
Lekhraj Nag- I took extensive help from Internet while preparing for GS and Public administration.
Jagranjosh.com- How much time is required for its exam preparation?
Lekhraj Nag- It varies from person to person. In my case it took six years.

Lekhraj Nag- Internet provides extensive and time coverage of topics related to Current Affairs.
