Last Day to Apply for 106 Faculty Posts at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda

Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) of Baroda invites application for the post of Professor, Associate Professor and other Posts. There are 106 openings for the vacant post of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. Interested candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 3 May 2017.

Educational Qualification for Professor, Associate Professor and Other Posts

Professor: The candidate should have done PHD in the relevant field and Published Work of High Quality actively engaged in Research with evidence of Published Work with a Minimum of 10 Publications as Books and/or Research/Policy Papers

Associate Professor: The candidate should have a good academic record with a PHD degree in the concerned field and must have Master’s degree with at least 55 % Marks.

Assistant Professor: The candidate should have a good academic record with at least 55% Marks in Master’s Degree Level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an Equivalent Degree from an Recognized Foreign University. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the Candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test recognized by the UGC like SLET/SET. Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, Candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, (effective from July 11, 2009) shall be exempted from the requirement of the Minimum Eligibility Condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or Equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

Experience Criteria for Professor, Associate Professor and Other Posts

Professor: The candidate should have a minimum 10 year experience of Teaching in University/College. Or Experience in Research at the University/National Level Institutions/Industries, including Experience of Guiding Candidates for Research at Doctoral Level.

Associate Professor: The candidate must have 8 Years experience of Teaching /or Research in an Academic/Research Position Equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Recognized Research Institution/Industry excluding the period of Ph.D. Research with evidence of published Work and a Minimum of 5 Publications as Books and/or Research/Policy Papers.

How to Apply for MSU Baroda, Professor, Associate Professor and Other Posts

Eligible candidates shall be required to apply by online mode on or before 3 May 2017. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post must apply separately for each post. Candidates are required to upload the self attested documents also. Candidates should send one hard copy application on or before 12 May 2017 along with the required documents. Candidates are required to carry originals of documents at the time of Interview, if called. For the post of Professor, Associate Professor and other post, candidate is required to fill up the API score page which is mandatory, otherwise his/her application will not be considered.

Selection Procedure for Professor, Associate Professor and Other Posts

For applying to the post of Professor, Associate Professor and other posts, each candidate has to make a presentation before the interview in front of Selection Committee, where staff of the Department concerned and all candidates who are called for Interview will be allowed to remain present. The presentation will be for a maximum of 15 minutes on the topic of candidate's choice in the subject concerned. Selected candidate may be appointed at any Institution or University. No TA/DA will  be paid for attending the Interview.
