Maharastra Gramin Bank Notified Recruitment for 203 Officer, Office Asst Posts

Maharastra Gramin  Bank, Nanded invited online applications for recruitment to 203 posts of Officers (Middle and Junior Management -- Scale I, II and III) and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates who have qualified the Common Written Examination for RRBs conducted by IBPS in September 2012 and Common Written Examination conducted for Public Sector Banks for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March 2012 for IT & Law Officer posts are eligible to apply. Eligible candidates can apply online till 11 February 2013.

For Officer Scale-I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Language Proficiency is required i.e. candidates must possess proficiency in Marathi and must have passed “Marathi language” as one of the subjects at Matriculation / class 10th.

IBPS Score Card: Candidates declared qualified in the RRBs-Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS in September 2012 should have obtained a Minimum Weighted Score, Total Weighted Standard Score and the Standard score in each test as per the details given in the notification.

Candidates applying for Officer Scale-II (Information Technology and Law) should have obtained the specified Total Weighted Standard Score as well as score in each test in the Common Written Examination conducted for Public Sector Banks for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March 2012.

Candidates should be able to produce the Score card in support of the scores mentioned in the online application form, if called for Interview.

Age Limit (as on 01 June 2012)

For Officer Scale- III: Below 40 years

For Officer Scale- II: Above 21 years - Below 32 years

For Officer Scale- I: Above 18 years - Below 28 years

For Office Assistant: Between 18 years and 28 years

(Upper age limit relax-able by 5 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe by 3 years for Other Backward Classes and by 10 years for Persons With Disability candidates)

Application Fee: An application fee of Rs.100 (Rs.20 for SC / ST / PWD candidates) has to be deposited in the account of ‘Maharashtra Gramin Bank’ in ‘CBS Account No. 80007010584’ for candidates applying for the post of Officer Scale - I, II and III and in ‘CBS Account No. 80007010618’ for candidates applying for the post of Office Assistant (M) by means of a Payment challan available in  the Bank’s website www.mahagramin.in.

Candidates using NEFT payment facility will have to fill the NEFT Voucher / challan of that Bank with beneficiary details to deposit the fee. Beneficiary details are as follows:

Candidate should obtain the NEFT payment receipt / Applicant’s Counterfoil Copy of the Application Fee Payment Challan duly authenticated by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & code No, (b) Transaction id / Scroll number (c) Date of Deposit & amount filled by the Branch Official after depositing the fee.

Without original CBS Challan / NEFT receipt the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Interview.

Probation Period: Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years for Officers (Scale III, Scale II and Scale I) and 1 year for Office Assistant - MP

Selection Procedure: Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ performance in RRB CWE conducted by IBPS in September 2012 and Personal Interview.

For selection to the post of Officer Scale-II (Specialist IT & LAW Officer ) candidates’ performance in each test in the Common Written Examination conducted for Public Sector Banks for Specialist Officers conducted by IBPS in March 2012 will also be considered.

Depending on the number of vacancies, Bank will call candidates -- three times the number of vacancies -- short-listed on the basis of their Total Weighted Standard Scores (TWSS). The total marks for Interview will be 30.

Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.

Appointment will also be subject to the Service & Conduct Rules of the Bank.

The Bank may at its discretion hold a second stage / conduct Supplementary process wherever necessary in respect of a centre / venue / specific post of a candidate(s)

Call Letters for Interview:

All short-listed candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given in the application form. The call letters will be sent by post / courier.

Candidate will have to affix his / her photograph on the call letter and bring it along with original fee payment receipt and requisite enclosures while attending the Interview without which they will not be allowed to take up the Interview.

Interview Centres:

Interview will be held at Maharashtra Gramin Bank, Regional Office, Aurangabad. Address of the venue will be displayed on the Bank’s website one week before the dates for commencement of Interviews.

Bank reserves the right to cancel the centre and/or add some other centre/s.

Service Bond: Selected candidates will be required to execute a service bond of Rs.25000 for Officer Scale I, Rs.50000 for Officer Scale II, Rs.50000 for Officer Scale III & Rs.10000 for Office Assistant (MP)  at the time of joining the services of the Bank. They will have to pay the aforesaid amount to the bank if they leave the services of the bank before completion of the stipulated period and also the training cost.

Stipulated period for Officer Scale I, II & III is 2 years and for Office Assistant (MP) is one year.

How to Apply: Candidates can apply online through Bank’s website www.mahagramin.in till 11 February 2013. After submission of application candidate need to take its print out and retain it for further use.

Candidates will be required to produce / submit Application printout along with the fee payment receipt and copies of required documents, if short listed for Interview.

Candidates should ensure that their personal email ID (as specified in the online application form while applying for RRBs- Common Written Examination CWE conducted in September 2012) is kept active during the currency of a recruitment project. Bank may send call letters for Interview etc. to the registered e-mail ID.

Candidates willing to serve anywhere in Maharashtra should only apply.

Travel Allowance: Candidates will have to appear for interview at their own expense.  However, unemployed eligible SC/ST outstation candidates attending the Interview will be reimbursed to and fro second class ordinary train/bus fare by the shortest route on production of evidence of travel.

Note: It is clarified that Persons with Disabilities will have to work in Branches/Offices which have posts identified by the Bank as suitable for them.
