The High School Certificate (HSC) examinations, held by the Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) would be held starting 20 February 2013.The results will be published by the end of April 2013.
The idea of having early examinations and early declaration of results will allow students to apply for higher studies in national colleges and would also open the way for the early completion of supplementary examinations so that the successful students don’t have to lose a year.
The examination Committee of the board also decided to reform the examination system. The Committee has decided that the examinations would be held under a new format in which the examinees would be provided with a question-cum-answer sheet.
Space will be provided in the question booklet for the students to write the answers. The students would not be allowed to take the questions back, instead, they can download the questions from the website of the board, which would be posted after the examinations are over.
