Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be launching 'Power for all' scheme on 25 September 2017 to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. The scheme reportedly named ‘Saubhagya’ would provide subsidy on electrical equipment and is expected to cover all rural families after expected electrification of all villages by the end of 2017.
The Project will experiment and endeavour to formulate and implement appropriate Science and Technology (S&T) interventions for sustainable development through cluster approach in Uttarakhand. The project has been inspired by teachings and ideals of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay whose birth centenary falls in the year 2017.

The Amendment Bill calls for increasing the maximum limit of gratuity of employees in the private sector and in Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Organizations under Government which are not covered under CCS (Pension) Rules, at par with Central Government employees.
