The Sixth Airports Council International Asia-Pacific Regional Assembly Conference and Exhibition was organised on 5 April 2011 in New Delhi. GMR Airports Chief Executive Officer (Corporate) P.S. Nair seized the opportunity to declare that The Indira Gandhi International Airport will have an integrated cargo terminal by March 2013 and air cargo will also increase to 1 million tonnes by that period.

The aim of T3 is to transform Delhi into a hub. Compared to the 2010 summer phase, there has been an increase of 40 per cent in domestic seats and 32 per cent in international seats.
Over 500 airport executives and business partners from across the Asia Pacific region participated in this event which was held for the first time in India.

A four day conference, Aviation Business Strategies – Meeting of Minds started in New Delhi on 5 April 2011.
