Thiruvananthapuram: The results of higher secondary and vocational higher secondary examinations (VHSE) in Kerala will be announced at 3 pm here on Tuesday. Chief secretary S.M. Vijayanand will publish the Plus Two results by handing it over to V.S. Senthil, additional chief secretary of general education department, at PRD chamber in the state capital. Details of the single-window entry into first year higher secondary will also be published. For VHSE, processes for single-window entry will begin Tuesday itself. The Department of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala has announced 10th May as the tentative date for the declaration of Kerala HSE Results 2016. After the official declaration, Kerala DHSE (+2) Result 2016 will be available on official website results.kerala.nic.in and dhsekerala.gov.in.. The Class 12 (or HSC) results will be available online on the official website of the DHSE The news was made public through a DHSE Result notification last week. The notification also stated that the DHSE Results 2016 for 12th class students will be available on official websites keralaresults.nic.in and dhsekerala.gov.in on 10th May 2016. As per the latest update, the Vocational Higher Secondary Examination (Kerala VHSE board examination results) will also be declared along with the Kerala Plus Two results 2016

Since the date of Kerala +2 Results has been made public, there has been a general sense or relief among the students. Anxious students have been waiting for the Kerala HSE Results 2016 since the completion of Kerala Higher Secondary Examination on 29 March 2016. The exam had begun on 09 March 2016 with Malayalam paper.

This year, a total of 4,60,743 students are waiting for the declaration of Kerala 12th Result 2016. The number is higher by 30,000 compared to 2015’s statistic of 4,32,760 students (2,14,012 boys and 2,18,748 girls).

Considering the increased participation of students and long examination schedule, the Kerala Department of Higher Secondary Education had a tough job in terms of bringing out the Kerala Plus Two Results on time. However, backed by some innovative measures the board has managed to complete the task and announced 10th May as the probable date for Kerala 12th Class Result 2016. To complete this mammoth task, the DHSE had organized 66 valuation camps across the state from 4th April onwards.

Going further, the board has taken complaints of students into account and simplified the checking procedure for Kerala 12th Result 2016. Students, who are unaware of the result checking process, can follow the simple steps given below.

• Find and click on the link for Kerala HSE Result 2016
• Enter your hall ticket number and other relevant details
• Click on submit
• Check your result and download / take printout of the mark sheet

The DHSE would be issuing the original mark sheet and Kerala Result certificate later on. Until then, students are urged to maintain a copy of their Kerala +2 Result obtained from the website as either a softcopy or a printout.


Last year, the Kerala DHSE Result was declared on 21st May 2015, in which nearly 4.3 lakh students received the outcome of their hard work. The overall pass percentage in last year’s Kerala result was 83.96% which was significantly higher compared to 2014’s 79,395. Keeping up the national trend, girls had outperformed boys in Kerala HSE Result 2015 with the pass percentage of 89.34%. Boys could only manage a dismal 77.78% success ratio. However, increased participation in this year’s board exam has raised hopes for better performance in Kerala HSE Results 2016.
