The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune will tentatively declare Maharashtra HSC result tentatively in the month of May 2013. The exams for Class 12 were conducted between 21 February 2013 and 25 March 2013 in the following 9 divisions- Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nasik, Latur and Konkan.

In 2012, the Maharashtra HSC Result was declared in the last week of May 2012 by the MSBSHSE Board. The board is responsible for conducting High School and Intermediate examinations.

As per the available statistics for the year 2012 on the website of Maharashtra Board, a total of 189134 students registered for the Maharashtra HSC exam of which 172543 appeared for the same and only 32831 students cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage for Maharashtra HSC exam was 19.03% only.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education (MSBSHE), Pune was established on 1 January 1966 under the Maharashtra Secondary Boards Act 1965 with an objective to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the state of Maharashtra, India. In 1977, the act was amended and the board was renamed as Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and is an autonomous and self financing body.
