The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will soon declare SSC result and HSC Result for the exam conducted in the month of March 2013 and soon will declare the results.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune is responsible for conducting High School and Intermediate examinations. The board will soon declare result for both SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate) examination on its official website.
The examination is conducted in the following 9 divisions- Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nasik, Latur and Konkan.
While the class 10 exams were conducted from 2 March 2013 to 25 March 2013, exams for Class 12 were conducted between 21 February 2013 and 25 March 2013. In 2012, the Maharashtra HSC Result was declared in the last week of May 2012 whereas the result for Maharashtra SSC 2012 was declared in the first week of June 2012.
Digging into the synopsis of result for 2012, out of 1491165 candidates who had registered for the Maharashtra SSC exam, a total of 1485700 candidates appeared for the same and only 1208170 students were declared successful making it an overall pass percentage of 81.32%. Similarly, for Maharashtra HSC exam, a total of 189134 candidates registered for the exam of which 172543 appeared for the same and only 32831 students cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage for Maharashtra HSC exam was 19.03% only.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education, Pune was established on 1 January 1966 with an objective to regulate certain matters pertaining to secondary education in the state of Maharashtra, India. In 1977, the act was amended and the board was renamed as Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) and is an autonomous and self financing body. The primary role of the board is to conduct the SSC and HSC examination.
