The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949, is responsible for regulating the profession of chartered accountancy in the country. The ICAI was formed on July 1, 1949, hence making this day a memorable occasion to celebrate and acknowledge the achievements of chartered accountants across the nation.
