NEET 2019: 16, 000 students appeared for exam in Chandigarh region

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully concluded the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 on Sunday in offline mode. A total of 180 objective type questions (with single correct option) were asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) in NEET 2019. For each correct answer, students will be awarded 4 marks, while 1 mark will be deducted from the total score for each incorrect answer. No marks will be awarded for unattempted question. The duration of exam was 3 hours. As per NTA’s statistics, there are 66,771 seats in MBBS and 27,148 seats in BDS across the country. In Chandigarh region, nearly 16,000 students appeared for NEET 2019 yesterday. NTA will declare the NEET Result 2019 including score and All India Rank (AIR) on June 5.

After NEET 2019, students are waiting to see their images of OMR Answer Sheets and responses graded by the machine which will be released by NTA soon at www.ntaneet.nic.in. Candidates will also have an opportunity to submit representation against the OMR grading on payment of non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1000/- per response challenged.

Important Notice:

NTA has postponed NEET PG 2019 exam for the Odisha candidates as per the request of the Odisha state Government. Odisha is currently under the hurl of cyclone ‘Fani’ due to which the Government has requested the NEET PG 2019 exam to be postponed.

NEET 2019 Exam Analysis:

As per experts, the overall difficulty level of NEET 2019 was moderate. The Physics section was the most difficult. Out of the total 45 questions in Physics, 10 were tricky, 24 of medium difficulty level and remaining questions were easy. The Biology section was easy but lengthy.
