    Civil Service Aptitude test was introduced in the year 2011 in order to test the aptitude abilities of the candidates going for the civil services. The General Studies Paper II CSAT include Comprehension

    Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Decision-making and problem solving, General mental ability, Basic numeracy (numbers and, their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level).

    Though after the government notification this question paper of IAS Prelims General Studies Paper II CSAT was made only qualifying in nature, but this year the question paper has a increased the number of comprehension questions significantly. The overall strategy was to score 33 % marks to qualify the question paper because its number are not to be counted for the final merit of the IAS Prelims Exam. To qualify this paper most of the candidates tried to attempt only Logical reasoning and analytical ability, General mental ability, Basic numeracy questions and tried to solve only the easy comprehensions so that they could qualify the CSAT Paper.
