The UPSEE Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) for admission in UG courses like pharmacy, engineering, hotel management and PG courses like MBA, MCA offered by the various colleges/ institutions located in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This state level entrance test is conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University which was previously known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University.
The eligible candidates are offered admissions in various programmes such as B.Tech (engineering), B.Tech (agricultural engineering), B.Arch, B.Pharma, Hotel Management as well as fashion & apparel design (1st year as well as lateral entry in 2nd year) through UPSEE exam.
UPSEE exam dates have been declared and candidates can check UPSEE 2016 important dates like, registration opening and closing date, exam date, UPSEE result as well as UPSEE counseling date here.
The Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the following courses offered at the Institutions affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow including other mentioned universities situated in territory of Uttar Pradesh for the academic year 2016-2017 shall be conducted by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.
(i) 4 years B. Tech./B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) Course (vi) 4 years BFA Courses
(ii) 4 years B.Pharm. Course (vii) 3 years MCA Course
(iii) 5 years B.Arch. Course (viii) 2 years MBA Course
(iv) 4 years BHMCT Course (ix) 5 years integrated MAM Course
(v) 4 years BFAD Course
The UPSEE is supervised and controlled by the Central Admission Board (CAB) which is constituted under the watchful eye of Government of Uttar Pradesh’s Technical Education Department. The Vice Chancellor of UPTU, Lucknow is the chairman of CAB.
The entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges has been assigned to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Further, the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Technical Education Department, has consented for the constitution of Central Admission Board (CAB) under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow to supervise and control the State Entrance Examination herein after referred as UPSEE-2016 being conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow. The CAB has absolute rights for conducting UPSEE-2016, and to decide about modalities of admissions and allotment of seats. The jurisdiction of CAB extends to colleges / institutes affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow. The CAB is authorised to take every decision regarding conduct and admissions through UPSEE-2016.
