Indian Air Force invited applications for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2014 commencing in January 2015 for grant of short service commission in flying branch and permanent/short service commission in Technical, Flying and Ground Duty Branches. Candidates can eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 12 January 2014.

Eligibility Criteria

Flying Branch

Age: 19 to 23 years as on January 2015

Educational Qualification: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university who have attained 60% marks in aggregate in all paper put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level

Technical Branch

Age: 18 to 28 years as on 1 January 2015

Educational Qualification

Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics): four year degree qualification from recognized university or cleared sec A and sec B Exam of Associate membership of institutions of engineers or Aeronautical Society of India.

Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical): four year degree qualification from recognized university or cleared sec A and sec B Exam of Associate membership of institutions of engineers or Aeronautical Society of India.

Ground Duty Branch

Age Limit

• For graduates: 20 to 23 years
• For postgraduates/LLB (Five years):
20 to 25 years
• For LLB (Three Years Course After Graduation):
20 to 26 years
• For M.Ed/Ph D/CA/ICWA:
20 TO 27 Years

Educational Qualification

Administration and Logistics: Graduates Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or PG Diploma in any discipline with minimum of 50%.

Accounts: Graduates Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in BCOM with minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or PG Diploma/Degree in Commerce in any discipline with minimum of 50%.

Educations: Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate of all papers put together.

The candidates eligible for the exam can login through career website of IAF and follow instruction accordingly.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in AFCAT 2014, Medical Test, and Interview.
