AISECT to instigate National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) in four major districts of Jharkhand State including- Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Deoghar and Giridih in collaboration with Government of Jharkhand. Under this project, AISECT will be imparting training to over 490 students on five trades, which are- Education and Skill Development (ICT), Banking & Accounting, Electrical & Electronics, Retail Services & Marketing and Colour Mehendi Maker. The foundation classes for the candidates have already started from 28 November 2014 in Ranchi.
NULM has been executed by the Government of Jharkhand which has identified 24 sectors for skills training of BPL youth so as to decrease the poverty level of the urban poor and providing training and employment opportunities by skill development.
Operating in association with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), AISECT aims to train 13 lakh youth in various vocational and skill courses throughout semi-urban and rural India within 10 years. Various skill development and capacity building programmes have also been undertaken by the organization by partnering with the Central and State Governments. In Jharkhand, AISECT imparted training to 360 urban poor youth under Swarna Jayanti Shahri Rozgar Yojna (SJSRY) which was a flagship programme of Urban Development Department (UDD) Jharkhand Government.
