All India Post Graduate Medical/Dental Entrance Exam (AIPGMEE)
Conducted By:

Purpose: For admission to various postgraduate (MD/MS/Diploma/MDS) courses in the medical and dental colleges of the country run by the Union of India and the State governments (except for the government of Andhra Pradesh and J&K).

Quota: Under 50% of the seats have quota.

Cost of Form: Rs. 1,000 (Also available online)

Eligibility Criteria: An MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized medical or dental college.

Date of Examination: January 2011

Deadline for Application Submission: November 2010

Selection Process: Each candidate is supposed to take a paper-based test

Duration of Paper: 3 and a half hour

No. of Questions: 300

Type of Questions: MCQs based on Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical and Clinical subjects

Any Negative Marking? Yes, +4 for each correct answer and -1 for each incorrect answer. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.

Based on the test, a merit list of successful candidates is prepared for counselling.
