DU Cut off 2016: Fourth list expected to dip 0.25-2% from the previous one

In the fourth cut off list released by the Delhi University, it is expected that the marks could go down to 0.25- 2 percent in various subjects. The fourth cut off list would be announced on 14 July, 2016 through the official website. Most of the colleges have filled their quota of seats of the academic session and this year the university would only take out five cut off lists.

In the fourth cut off list released by the Delhi University, it is expected that the marks could go down to 0.25- 2 percent in various subjects. The fourth cut off list would be announced on 14 July, 2016 through the official website. Most of the colleges have filled their quota of seats of the academic session and this year the university would only take out five cut off lists.

The Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has very few seats left in Economics (Hons) course and it is likely to close its admission for B.Com (Hons) before the fourth cut off list. According to the Principal of SRCC, RP Rustagi, “The dip will be marginal as there are only a few seats left in the Economics course.”

The same is the case with another heavyweight college, Lady Shri  Ram College, with only five to six courses taking further admissions, including B.Com (Hons), Political Science (Hons), English (Hons), Journalism (Hons) and Mathematics (Hons). According to an LSR College official, “We have filled more than 50% of the total seats. The dip in cutoff will be in the range of 0.25 to 1 percentage points in some of the courses.” Hindu College is going for a marginal dip of 0.25 to 0.50 percent is quite a few subjects.

In Ram Lal Anand College, admission for History and Political Science has come to an end after the third list of cut offs. It many lower the percentage points by 0.33 to 1.5 in quite a few subjects. According to the Principal of RLA College, “We have filled around 383 seats out of the total 608 seats. Most of the courses will remain open for admission in the fourth list.”

According to Principal of Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Gyantosh K Jha, the college has filled 711 seats out of the total 1179, and is considering a 0.25 to 1.50 percent drop in the fourth cut off list for five to six subjects. SGTB Khalsa College has also filled its 50% seats of the total 780 seats and has kept the science courses open for admission in the fourth cut off list.

In Ramanujan College, almost 300 seats are left vacant after the third list and thus a dip of .25 to 2 percent is expected in quite a many subjects for the college. The College of Vocational Studies would also see dip of .05% for the B.Com (Hons) course and only two of the seven vocational courses would be up for taking in the fourth list.
