RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2023
Here, we discuss the nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications in detail to help candidates make an informed choice. It should be noted that applications shall be rejected if one fails to meet the eligibility criteria for RBI Assistant.
Nationality
Candidates must be a citizen of India.
Age Limit
A candidate must have attained the minimum age of 20 years however they must not have exceeded the maximum age limit of 28 years.
Upper Age Limit Relaxation
Candidates belonging to the reserved category shall be eligible for relaxation in the upper age bracket as per the Government norms. Below, we have provided the relaxation for all categories.

Educational Qualification
As per the eligibility norms for the RBI Assistant exam, one must also possess the required educational qualifications. Below, candidates can check the qualification details.
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on a computer.
- A candidate belonging to the ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service.
- Candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office.
