SSC CGL Salary 2023-24: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC), every year, conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination for the appointment of various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts in different ministries/ departments/ organisations of the Government of India and various constitutional bodies/ statutory bodies/ tribunals, etc. The selection process includes two stages i.e Tier I & Tier II exam.

SSC CGL Salary In Hand
The total in-hand salary for every post is different according to the pay grade level. The gross salary ranges between Rs 25,500 to Rs 1,51,100 which is inclusive of House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Travel Allowance (TA),

House Rent Allowance
HRA is provided to candidates to pay for their accommodation. The HRA varies as per the city in which they are posted.

Dearness Allowance
DA is provided to an employee to manage their cost of living expenses. Previously effective from July 1, 2022, the DA was hiked to 38%. Hence, currently, the DA is 34% of the basic salary.
On March 24, 2023, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting announced a 4% hike in DA for central government employees. With the recent hike, the DA for approximately 47.58 lakh central government employees will increase to 42%.
Medical Allowance
The reimbursement of all medical expenditures incurred by the government employee for self or their family's treatment will be paid by the government once the employee claims it.
