National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) has invited applications for its Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM) Programme. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply latest by 18th May, 2016.
National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is a premier national center of excellence in rural development. It builds capacities of the rural development functionaries, elected representatives, academicians, and young students through inter-related activities of teaching, training, research, action research, and consultancy.
Eligibility Criteria for PGDRDM Programme
Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Students who are in the final year and expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before 1st August, 2016, may also apply.
Selection procedure PGDRDM Programme
Selection of candidates will be made through a process of All-India Entrance Test which will test the verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students including English Language. Group Discussion and Personal Interviews will be conducted for the short – listed candidates.
How to apply for NIRDPR’s PGDRDM Programme
Eligible candidates can registered themself on the official website of the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) (www.nird.org.in/pgdrdm) within specified time and need to pay Rs. 200/ through proper channel as a fee of registration.
Candidate is required to download Application Form from the official website of the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) (www.nird.org.in/pgdrdm). Fill the Application Form as per the instruction mentioned and send the duly filled in form along with the requisite documents & a DD of Rs. 200/- as application fee in favor of “NIRD – PGDRDM, payable at Hyderabad. Duly Filled application form along with requisite documents & DD should be sent to Coordinator (Admissions), Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Distance Education, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad 500030, India.

Admission procedure for Foreign Candidates in PGDRDM Programme
The international candidates should apply through the secretariats of the respective international organisations viz., AARDO, CIRDAP etc. Organisational sponsorship for all the in-service candidates is essential. They may however, send an advance application. The eligibility parameters for international students are placed on the website of NIRD.

Entrance test pattern for PGDRDM Programme
Entrance Test will be off-line paper-pencil test. Entrance test will comprise of English Comprehension and Essay writing, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning and Analytical Skills. The Entrance Test will be of about two and half hours duration. The number of questions may range between 90 and 120.
Entrance test will be conducted on 29th May 2016 at the following centres in the India:
Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dimapur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune and Thiruvanantapuram.
Programme Fee and other Costs for PGDRDM
Following is the detail of programme fees;
For Open / OBC Category: Rs. 1.60 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging).
For SC / ST / PWD category: Rs. 1.25 Lakhs (excluding boarding and lodging).
Board and Lodging:
The annual board and lodging expenses will be approximately Rs. 1,00,000. Accommodation will be given to the students in the NIRDPR Hostel.
A refundable Caution Deposit of Rs. 10,000 is to be paid along with the First Trimester Fee.
Seat Registration Fee: Upon selection, a non-refundable Seat Registration Fee of Rs. 20,000 should be paid by the Indian students.
Seats Reservation in National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR)
Reservations for the students of the SC / ST / OBC (Non-creamy layer) and Persons with Disability (PWD) will be made as per Government of India’s policies.
