Age Limit

The BHEL Apprenticeship programme is open for candidates who fall in the age group of 18 years (minimum eligibility) to 27 years (maximum eligibility).

Educational Qualifications

The BHEL apprenticeship programme defines educational qualification criteria for graduate and diploma level positions separately.

    Graduate Apprenticeship: Candidates should have cleared high school, Intermediate school and B.E / B.Tech in relevant discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General and OBC categories.

    Diploma Apprenticeship: Candidates should have cleared high school and Engineering Diploma in relevant discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks for General and OBC categories

Selection Procedure

Selection for BHEL Apprenticeship programme is done on the basis of academic merit of the candidate i.e., marks in graduation and diploma programme. However, students willing to join the BHEL apprenticeship programme in mechanical or engineering domain will have to undergo a written test. The written test would include 40 objective type questions.

Salary / Stipend

Candidates selected for the BHEL Apprenticeship programme are offered a nominal stipend as part of monetary compensation. The stipend offered is uniform across all different sections and stands at Rs 6000/- per month for Graduate apprenticeship programme and Rs 4000/- per month for technician apprenticeship programmes. The BHEL Apprenticeship stipend is revised regularly by the organization as per the internal rules.
