APPSC Notified Recruitment of 362 Posts of Assistant Engineers in 6 Zones

    Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) issued recruitment notification for 362 posts of Assistant Engineers in A.P Rural Water Supply Engineering Subordinate Service (General Recruitment) in 6 zones. Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 28 February 2013.

    Age Limit (as on 1 July 2012):

    Minimum: 18 years

    Maximum: 34 years

    (Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST and BCs by 5 years and for Physically Handicapped persons by 10 years
    For others, age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules.)

    Educational Qualification: LCE issued by the State Board of Technical Education and Training A.P., of any other qualification equivalent thereto which are recognized by the SBTET.

    Application Fee: All candidates have to pay Rs.100 as application fee and all those who are not exempted from payment of fee have also to pay Rs.80 as examination fee. The amount has to be paid at AP Online Centers or at any branch of State Bank of India through a Challan that can be downloaded from the APPSC website after submission of basic details.

    SC / ST / BC /Ex-S / Families having Household Supply White Card issued by Civil Supplies Department, AP Government (Residents of Andhra Pradesh) / Un-employed youth in the eligible age group are exempted from payment of fee.

    Pay Scale: Rs.15280 - 40150

    Selection Procedure: Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance in written Examination.

    The 300 mark exam will have two questions papers of 150 marks each. Paper I will have 150 objective type questions on General Studies and Paper II will have 150 objective type questions on Concerned Subject -- Diploma Standard. Candidates will be given 150 minutes for each paper.

    Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their being found medically fit.

    Selected candidates will be allotted Service/ Department as per their rank in the merit list, zonal preference made by them and vacancies available.

    All essential certificates shall be produced by the candidates on verification day or as and when called for.

    Examination Centers:  The Written Examination will be held at following 5 centers:

    1) Hyderabad;

    2) Visakhapatnam;

    3) Vijayawada;

    4) Tirupati;

    5) Warangal;

    Candidates should choose only one of the above centers. The Commission, however, reserves the right to allot to any centre other than centre chosen by the candidate or abolish a centre and / or to create a new centre. If a candidate appears at a centre/ Examination venue other than one allotted, the answer sheets of such candidate shall not be valued.

    How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates can apply online by logging on to the website till 23 February 2013.

    The online application mode has three stages.

    i. Registration

    ii. Payment of fees

    iii. Submission of form.

    For depositing fees, candidates are required to print the downloadable fee payment Challan and deposit the fee as prescribed. After payment of fees, candidates should revisit the website, on the next working day, completely fill the application form and submit it.
