Ans. Concerned authorities who can issue desired certificate to candidates seeking age relaxation are as follows:
• To candidates seeking age-relaxation as a domicile of the State of Jammu and Kashmir: An attested/ certified copy of a certificate from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction the candidate had ordinarily resided or from any other authority designated in that behalf by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989.
• For candidates disabled while in the Defense Services seeking age-relaxation: An attested/certified copy of a certificate in the prescribed form from the Director General Resettlement, Ministry of Defense confirming that the candidate was disabled while in the Defense Services in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof. Authorities competent to issue certificate are:
In case of Commissioned Officers including ECOs / SSCOs:
Army - Military Secretary Branch, Army Head Quarters, New Delhi;
Navy - Directorate of Personnel, Naval Head Quarters, New Delhi;
Air Force - Directorate of Personnel Officers, Air Head Quarters, New Delhi;
In case of JCO / ORs and equivalent of the Navy and Air Force:
Army - By various Regimental Record Officers;
Navy - BABS, Bombay;
Air Force - Air Force Records NERW, New Delhi;
• For Physically Challenged candidates seeking age-relaxation: A certified copy of the certificate, in the prescribed format, issued by a Medical Board duly constituted by the Central / State Government.
