Automotive Research Centre at Amrita University

The Amrita Automotive Research & Technology Centre (AARTC) at the Amrita University, Ettimadai was inaugurated by Mr. K Tamilmani, Director General of Aeronautical Systems of DRDO on 28 January. It is a joint venture of Amrita University and Automotive Test Systems.

The Amrita Automotive Research & Technology Centre (AARTC) at the Amrita University, Ettimadai was inaugurated by Mr. K Tamilmani, Director General of Aeronautical Systems of DRDO on 28 January. It is a joint venture of Amrita University and Automotive Test Systems. The Automotive Test Systems has various branches in cities like Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Bengaluru.

This facility will cost around Rs. 15 crore and would assist the students to learn the nuances of automotive industry. This would help them learn the different trade of vehicle evaluation, road load data acquisition, emission, simulation and multibody dynamics, which would prepare the students to have a hands on practical experience while studying. This would help them land into better job opportunities when they would complete their studies. This would also help students to further higher studies like M. Tech and PhD.

Scholars who are presently doing their PhD in automotive research could get assistance from the centre and get enormous help for their research activities.
