BHU is eagerly waiting for the allotment of the land for the same by Bihar government, told BHU vice chancellor, Lalji Singh.

After the Bihar government sanctions the land, the process of opening the branch in the state would be speeded up.

Lalji also plans to set a talk to the officials of the Union Human Resource Development Ministry in the month of February in this context.

It all began when BJP legislator Awnish Kumar Singh had proposed the set up of a BHU branch in Motihari district of Bihar, in the year 2012. Upon this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar mentioned that government of Bihar will do the necessary if BHU initiates the process.

Bihar education minister, PK Shahi, conveyed that state government would be happy if BHU starts its branch in Bihar, the state government will offer all possible help if asked.

The construction of AMU off-campus branch in Bihar is currently ongoing in process. BHU will also waste no time to start with the establishment, after the Bihar government allots a suitable 3land to the University for constructing its own campus.
