BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Written Exam will be conducted on 28th July 2019. In this article, we have compiled the latest exam pattern and detailed syllabus of BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam including three phases, i.e., Written Test OMR Based in MCQ Format; PST, PET & Documentation and Descriptive Written Test; and Final Medical Examination.

    The BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Recruitment can be a great opportunity for those who wish to join Border Security Force (BSF) which is one of the best paramilitary forces of India. As per the latest notification, Border Security Force (BSF) has invited online application for filling up 1072 vacancies for the Non-Gazetted & Non-Ministerial posts of Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) in Group ‘C’ on temporary basis likely to be made permanent in Border Security Force (Communication Setup). So, the time has come for the students to start their preparation for the Phase I – Written Exam which is tentatively scheduled to be held on 28th July 2019.

    Below are important dates for BSF Head Constable (Radio Operator) and Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) 2019 Recruitment Process:

    So, we have compiled the latest exam pattern and detailed syllabus of BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam which will help you in preparing for the exam in a systematic manner.

    BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam Pattern

    BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam will consist of 3 phases – 1) Written Test OMR Based in MCQ Format, 2) PST, PET & Documentation and Descriptive Written Test and 3) Final Medical Examination.

     BSf HC RO & RM Exam Pattern

    FIRST PHASE: Written Test OMR Based (28th July 2019)

    The MCQ type written examination of 3 hours duration will be conducted at selected centers on the date and time fixed by HQ DG BSF. In the written examination MCQ paper, there will be 100 questions of 200 marks, divided in following four parts:

    Note:

    1. The syllabus will as per 10+2/ Intermediate of CBSE/ State Boards of Education.
    2. For every multiple choice question of 2 marks, 0.50 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
    3. There will be one OMR based composite paper consisting of above mentioned four parts and the question paper will be “OMR based objective type with multiple choices”. Question paper will be printed both in English as well as Hindi for each post. The minimum qualifying marks of written test for both the posts are as under:

    However, number of candidates to qualify in OMR Based screening test and further to appear in the next ohase shall be restricted to 20 times the number of vacancies for recruitment post.

    Note: - Request for re-evaluation of OMR sheets will not be entertained.

    1. Duplicate OMR sheet attached with main OMR shall be allowed to be carried by the candidates.
    2. Answer key may be uploaded on BSF website on following days of examination.
    3. The result of OMR test qualified candidates shall be announced by uploading on BSF website www.bsf.nicin\recruitment as well as on BSF Recruitment portal. Further intimation through e-mail/ SMS shall be issued to all qualified candidates for appearing in the Descriptive test.

    SECOND PHASE: Divided in Two Tests

    1. PST, PET & Documentation (9th October 2019 Onwards)

    All the candidates appearing in this stage must have to qualify the PST/PET and documentation for further appearing in the next stage (2 written tests, i.e., descriptive test).

    2. Descriptive Written Test (24th November 2019)

    a) FOR HC (RO):- Candidates must qualify descriptive test as well as dictation test during this stage.

    b) FOR HC (RM):- Candidates must have to qualify descriptive test during this stage.

    Note: For BSF Serving Personnel - Departmental candidate shall be excluded from PST/PET. However, they have to attend 2 Phase recruitment only for Documentation and descriptive test(s) only.

    THIRD PHASE: Final medical examination (30th January 2020 Onwards)

    Below are the medical standards:

    (i) Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of the both eyes without correction, i.e., without wearing glasses.

    (ii) Must pass high-grade colour vision test.

    (iii) Must not have knock-knees, flat feet or varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess CP-III BY ISIHARA.

    (iv) Must be in sound mental and bodily health and free from any defect/deformity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.

    Note: For BSF Serving Personnel

    • Should have medical category ‘SHAPE-I’.
    • BSF Serving Constable (GD) and Constable (TM) should be in possession of Disc/Vigilance clearance certificate, Bio-data and NOC issued by their appointing authority and Present Medical Category - SHAPE -1 issued by Medical Officer of concerned Units/HQrs prior to dosing date of online applications.

    Final Result of BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam

    Final result will be prepared for HC (RO) & HC (RM) separately and merit will be prepared in following manner:

    HC/ RO

    Total marks obtained in the descriptive test and dictation tests out of total marks (100+100 respectively)

    HC/ RM

    Total marks obtained in descriptive test out of 200 Marks

    Note: - Procedure for drawl of merit in case of tie:

    I) Candidates who scores more marks in total will be placed higher in merit.

    ii) If marks are equal then candidates who scores more marks in screening test (OMR based) will be placed higher in merit.

    iii) If in all conditions as mentioned in sub para (i) & (ii) above, the position is still same then preference will be given to the candidates older in age.

    iv) In all conditions as mentioned in sub para (i), (i) & (iii) above, the position is still same, the preference will be given alphabetically.

    v) It any candidate of reserved category finds place in merit without availing any relaxation, he/she will be placed in merit against the UR category.

    After going through the above exam pattern of BSF Head Constable RO & RM 2019 Exam, you must have now understood that mere studying hard would not help you in clearing this exam. Candidates must make themselves physically and mentally fit through physical exercises to clear the physical and medical tests.
