A thorough screening procedure abiding by all rules and regulations including reservation policies of the State Government could not identify any candidate for one of the seats earmarked for OBC. Thus, as per rule, a second advertisement is being placed inviting application for admission to the PhD Programme in the Department of Genetics for one post from OBC candidate.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Doctoral Fellow Job
Educational Qualification:
The eligible persons will have to appear for an online written MCQ examination, the details of which are appended below. Successful candidates will be called for an online interview where apart from answering fundamental questions, they are also expected to discuss their research interest/area based on a Statement of Purpose (SoP). The candidate mandatorily needs to submit a SoP, preferably within 1000 words during initial application. The final selection for joining the PhD program of this department along with the allocation of supervisor will be made on the basis of this Interview. The candidates seeking admission in the PhD programme must have obtained at least 55% of marks in aggregate in their M.Sc. examination from any UGC recognized university/at least 50% of marks in M.Phil/M.Tech. Those candidates who have already passed DBT/ICMR/ICAR/UGC-CSIR NET/SET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examination or passed M.Phil/M.Tech or equivalent examination need not appear for the written test.

How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply for Calcutta University Recruitment 2020 through the prescribed application format on or before 21 September 2020. Self-attested photocopies of all testimonials (including M.Sc, M.Tech., M.Phil marksheets (as per applicable) and DBT/ICMR/ICAR/UGC-CSIR NET/SET/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examination must be submitted by the person along with the application for it to be considered complete in all relevant documents. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. Last date of submission of application: 21 September 2020 (by 05:30 pm).
