‘Cambridge India Ramanujan Scholarship’ Offered to Indian PhD Students
The meritorious students who are excelling in the field of research would get the ‘Cambridge India Ramanujan Scholarship’ from the next academic session.
The meritorious students who are excelling in the field of research would get the ‘Cambridge India Ramanujan Scholarship’ from the next academic session. The Cambridge Trust has tied up with the Science and Research Board of India and announced scholarships that would be given to PhD students researching in various fields of study.
Under this scheme of scholarships Indian scholars would be able to take up doctoral studies in subjects like Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at the University of Cambridge in UK. This scholarship would provide 20 students to pursue their PhD studies in the prestigious Cambridge University. Currently, Cambridge trust offers 36 scholarship programs for Indian students and the inclusion of Cambridge India Ramanujan Scholarship is scheduled to be offered from 2015. The candidates interested for taking up the scholarships would have to apply to the Science and Engineering Research Board of India as well.
The scholarship programme would not only provide the University composition fee for the tenure of their studies in the university but would also get an annual stipend which would be sufficient for one person to carry on his/her studies at the foreign offshores comfortably.
