CAT 2014 is all set to be conducted on 16th November. It is time to apply all the knowledge gained after your preparation time. It is time to relax and attempt the question paper depending on the practice you did. It is important to keep the test duration and pattern in mind when you sit for the exam tomorrow. Another session of CAT 2014 will be conducted on 22nd November 2014. CAT 2014 is being conducted in two sessions on a single day.
More importantly, there are things you need to be careful about in the examination hall. It is important to read the instructions given in the question directions nicely and clearly. It makes attemting the question easy. Questions in CAT exams begin with the direction which explains what is expected from the aspirants when they solve the given problems. Aspirants should feel a little relaxed in the new system and changes brought by CAT 2014 conducting authority.
It is also crucial to keep the CAT 2014 test duration and pattern in mind. The medium of the test is in English language for all candidates. The test has 100 multiple choice
questions across two sections. Candidates may attempt any section first. The questions can be answered out of sequence too. And the candidate can also toggle between sections and attempt questions. An on-screen timer will mark remaining minutes for the test. Three (3) points will be awarded for each correct answer; one (1) point will be deducted for each wrong answer. There is no penalty for questions that are left unanswered.
The test duration is for a total time of 2 hours and 50 minutes (170 minutes). PWD/DA candidates with scribe requirements will be allowed an extra hour. All candidates will start the test at the same time. Candidates are to remain at their seats for the entire duration of the test even if they complete their test early. The Submit button will be enabled only upon completion of test time.
