The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the CBSE 10th result 2014 for Chennai region today on 19 May 2014.  CBSE 10th Result 2014 (All Regions) to be declare today i.e. 20th May 2014 at 4:00PM.

All the students who have sat for the CBSE 10th Exam 2014 from Chennai region can now check their results as the result link is available on the official portal of CBSE. They can also chase their results through the IVRS system on telephone or through SMS services as being arranged by the CBSE in collaboration with the National Informatics Center, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Govt of India.

Last year, the Class 10th Result for Chennai region was declared by the CBSE on 26 May 2013, while for rest of the regions, the result was announced on 30 May 2013.

As per the available data, a total of 13, 25,627 students registered for the Class 10 exams that was conducted this year from 01 March to 20 March 2014 throughout the nation. This year the number of students took up school-based Summative II exams is 7.29 lakh, higher than those who appeared for the Board-based external exam (5.96 lakhs).

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. Apart from conducting final examinations for Classes 10 and 12 for the schools affiliated to it, the Board also conducts annually the All India Engineering Entrance Examinations and All India Pre-Medical Test for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture and medical colleges, respectively. CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, a number of private schools and most of the central government schools.
