Remembering the great freedom fighter and scholar Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya on 16 December, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced an expression series programme.
"To pay tribute to the phenomenal scholar and the great freedom fighter, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya (born on 25 December 1861), the Central Board of Secondary Education proposes Expression Series on Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya . The 'Series' will be organised on 16 December, 2015," a circular issued by D T Sudharsan Rao, CBSE joint secretary and in-charge (academic and training) said.
Through this expression series program, competition will be held for students in three main categories; Class 1-5, Class 6-8 and Class 9-12. While 36 best entries carry a cash prize of Rs 2500, participation certificates will be given to all the participants. Students can send their entry through their schools or else online at www.cbseacademic.in.
Earlier CBSE had announced expression series on eminent personalities like Sardar Patel, Jai Prakash Narayan and former President, A.P.J Abdul Kalam on their birth anniversary.
