CBSE to digitalize Nursery Admissions from Next session

Feb 13, 2015 17:24 IST

Parents now need not to visit the schools for admissions of their children in the Nursery classes as the CBSE schools would now make the admission process digitalized. The parents in Chennai could visit the online admission portal of CBSE for nursery class students. The initiative was seen positively both by the schools and the parents.

The parents could easily go through the data present at the website and download them to further analyze the same. The date could further get added to the website with one single click.

Ajeeth Prasad Jain, Senior Principal of Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyasharam said, “The school has made the process easier for schools as well. Now, we can download the data easily and analyze it. Once the child is admitted, his data can be uploaded in the schools registry in a click.”

There are many schools around the state which also opened various counters for parents, so that they could buy applications and fill them online. According to various parents, the online method of admissions would become very transparent than its counterpart offline, where a variety of manipulations took place over the years. Previously there was a first come first serve service at various schools which had a severe drawback and didn’t allowed overseas parents to apply for the schools for the distance constraints. Online admissions could fill the gap and the parents could apply for various schools in the state keeping aside the distance factor.

Parents could get relief with the online system of admission as they could avoid long queues and other admissions hassles during the beginning of the academic year.
