CBSE has started the UDAAN program for mentoring girl students for admission in premiere engineering college, today. The application process will continue till 13 July 2016.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has kickstarted the UDAAN program for girls today on 04 July 2016. Applications are invited from girl students studying in KVs/ JNVs/ Government schools of any recognized board in India/ CBSE affiliated private schools. Girl students must have a minimum 70% marks in Class X and 80% marks in Science and Mathematics (8 CGPA in Class X and 9 GPA for Science and Mathematics). In addition to this, the annual family income is also an important part of the eligibility criteria; which should be less than Rs 6 lakhs per annum.
Salient features of the UDAAN program includes providing free of cost tablet, tutorials, lectures and study materials to selected students. Availability of student helpline, periodic counselling to guide students and parents, financial assistance, etc. are some of the key features of the program as well.
Students can apply at cbse.nic.in/ cbseacademic.in. The selection of the students will depend on the chosen city option for the weekly contact classes.
