The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2012 on 29 May 2012. The CTET was conducted by CBSE on 5 May 2012 for recruitment of teachers to Central Government schools across India.
About 804286 candidates had registered and participated in CTET 2012 Examination conducted in 1178 centres and 81 cities across the India including 2 centres abroad.
CTET is the only eligibility criteria for teacher's recruitment in Central Govermental Schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalay Samiti (NVS) and Tibetan Schools in India. The Written Test was held for primary and upper primary level as an eligibility test for the aspiring candidates.
CTET certificate is valid for 7 years and in order to clear the exam, a candidate must score 60% or above. A candidate can take as much attempts as possible as there is no restrictions on the number of attempts and also they may also appear again for improving the score.
A candidate may also apply to private schools in India as they also consider the CTET marks as eligibility.
