    Tamilnadu SSLC (Class 10th) Result 2014 (TN SSLC (10th) Results 2014 / Tamilnadu Board SSLC Result 2014): Tamilnadu Board of Seccondary Education / Directorate of Government Education Tamilnadu to be declare today at 10:00 AM.



    Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination has announced to declare the Tamil Nadu 10th Result 2014 (SSLC) on 23 May 2014 at 10 AM. Students who sat for the Tamil Nadu State Board SSLC Exams 2014 for Class 10 should now keep their fingers crossed as it’s remained just one more day to go for the results to be declared. They would be able check out their results, once it is out, on the official website of the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examination.

    The Tamil Nadu Class 10 exams 2014 were conducted by the Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education in the month of March-April, i.e., it started on 26 March 2014 and ended on 09 April 2014. According available data, 10, 38,876 regular and about 74,647 private candidates appeared in the TN Class 10 examinations 2014. The examination was held at 3,179 centers across the state.

    In 2013, the number of candidates appeared in the TN SSLC examinations was 10, 51,062 and 89% of them were passed exam.

    Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education works under the purview of the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The board is responsible to determine the progress of students studying in schools/institutions affiliated to it by conducting two board examinations in a year- one examination at the end of class 10 and the other at the end of class 12.  The scores from the class 12 board examinations are used by universities to determine eligibility and as a cut-off for admissions into their programmes.

    Tamil Nadu Board of Secondary Education was constituted by the Tamil Nadu government in the year 2002 by uniting together the existing two separate boards -- Board of Secondary Education and Board of Higher Secondary Examinations.
