    The CBSE class 12th result 2014 will be declared today. Students can visit http://cbse12.jagranjosh.com to get in touch with their results. Another way of obtaining information is via SMS or e-mail address.     In the year 2014, there were approximately 22.65 lakh students who had appeared for the examinations. It has been inferred that number of students who wrote class 12th examinations this year rose by 20,000 as compared to previous year. The main reason behind this rise is that more and more students are seeking admissions in CBSE affiliated schools.     The results for class 12th examination for Trivandrum and Chennai region have been already announced. As per the statistics, the girls have managed to outshine the boys. A total of 402824 candidates registered for the 12th exams from these regions, wherein 46441 were from Chennai region and 35638 were from Trivandrum region.     The CBSE 12th results for both the regions saw that there has been progressive increase in the pass percentage among girls. The overall pass percentage of girls from Chennai region was 93.13 percent while that of boys were 90.45%. In Trivandrum region, 96.72 was the pass percent of girls and 91.96 percent boys cleared the exams. It is not just the CBSE board of education which has perceived a fair rise in the pass percentage of girls compared to that of boys, but there are multiple boards who have been successful in noticing the rise.
