The students of Maharashtra Board can sigh with relief as their SSC Result to be declared today. Some sources from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Pune has confirmed the news. In 2013, a total of 14, 99,276 students had appeared for the Class 10th Maharashtra Board exams but this year this number went up to 17,28,368 students. The examinations were held at different centers across 9 districts: Nasik, Latur, Konkan, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, and Amaravati. The Board which conducts exams in all the government run schools in Maharashtra holds exams in two shifts: one from 11:00AM to 2:00 PM and other from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
To check their results today, the SSC Maharashtra Board students may visit its official web address .i.e. http://www.mahresult.nic.in/, There on the homepage, the students will see a box in which 'Latest Notifications' will be flashing. There you will see a direct link to the SSC or Class 10th Maharashtra Board Result 2014. Click on it to check your online score card. It would be advised to keep your board roll number handy at the time of checking the result online.
The SSC students had first appeared on March 3 for the first language paper which was made compulsory by the board. The students had many options for selecting any one language. The options included: Marathi (code: 01), Hindi (code:02) , Urdu (code:04), Gujarati (code:05), Kannada (code:06), Tamil (code:07), Telugu (code:08), Malayalam (code:09), Sindhi (code:10), Bengali(code:11), Punjabi (code:12). During the same day, the students who also had another language appeared for their second language paper in the second shift.

The SSC exams were concluded on March 27. The teachers and students have been expecting a good result this year keeping in mind the excellent pass percentage of last year examinations. In 2013, the district wise pass percentage was: Konkan - 93.79; Kolhapur - 90.36; Mumbai - 88.92; Pune - 88.25; Nashik - 83.86; Aurangabad - 81.18; Amravati - 74.60; Nagpur - 73.99; and Lathur - 73.75.
