Chinese Language Course also Available in Jamia

    The inclusion of Certificate/Diploma in Foreign Languages in a resume brings along ample opportunities to prosper a successful career. With the expanding globalization of the world, students are increasingly opting for language courses to get themselves exposed to a wider career options. And, when it comes to opt from Asian foreign languages, Chinese appears to be one of the most favored subjects among Indian Students.

    A certificate course in Chinese Language and Culture is already available in the Department of East Asian Studies at Delhi University and IGNOU. Now, widening the prospects of Chinese language studies in India, Jamia Millia Islamia has also introduced a certificate course in Chinese Language for the academic session 2013-2014.

    The course will be of one year duration and is being offered by the Academy of International Relations in the university. Admissions to this course are open now. Students who want to get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia for Chinese Language may now submit their applications before 20 June 2013; for which the entrance test is to be held on 26 June. The eligibility for the course is an MA degree with at least 55 per cent marks in aggregate.

    The admission will be based on an entrance test of 60 marks followed by an interview of 40 marks. The test will be conducted to assess the general knowledge of the aspirants, especially about China and Chinese affairs.

    As per the information, the teaching will be imparted by a native Chinese teacher from the New Tsinghua University, Taiwan and an Indian teacher.
