Directorate General, Ministry of Home Affairs invited applications from Male Indian citizens for filling up 19 vacancies of Asstt. Sub Inspector (Fitter/Motor Mechanic/Auto Electrician) with Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Pay Scale: PB-1 of Rs.5200-20200 +GP 2800 + admissible allowances to the Central Government employees.

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 25 years
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized University / Board and Certificate course from Industrial Training Institute in the trade of Fitter / Electrician / Motor Mechanic or equivalent with three years experience of working as Fitter / Mechanic / Auto Electrician in a recognized organization or three years Diploma in Mechanical Automobiles / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Application Fee: General and OBC candidates need to pay Rs.50 as application fee through a crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) issued in favour of Officers mentioned in the notification and payable at the post office mentioned in the notification.
(SC/ ST/ EX-SM are exempted from payment of fee)
Selection Procedure: Selection would be done on the basis of candidate clearing the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard, Written Eaxm, Skill Test and Medical Standards.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates will have to run 1.6 kms within 6.5 minutes.
The PET will be qualifying in nature and no marks will be awarded for PET.
Those who fail in PET will be eliminated and will not be allowed to appear in further test.

The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e., without wearing of glasses.
Candidates for appointment are required in pass colour vision test.
Candidate should not have knock knee, flat foot, bow legs, squint eyes, varicose veins or any other deformity; Written
The two hour exam will have a 100 mark objective type question paper containing 100 questions on General Intelligence and Reasoning (Part A); General Knowledge and General Awareness (Part B); Elementary Mathematics (Part C); and English/Hindi (Part D).
All questions will be Objective Multiple Choice Types. Questions will be set bilingually in Hindi and English to Part-A, B and C. Candidates are required to attempt either Hindi or English section of Part-D of the question paper
Documentation: Documents related to various eligibility criteria i.e. Age, Educational Qualification, experience Certificate etc., for the respective posts will be verified by the Recruitment Board from the original certificates produced by the candidates in accordance with the standards prescribed in the advertisement.
Skill Test: Those who qualify the written examination will appear for the skill Test.
For ASI (Fitter)
i) General Knowledge / test of Fitter work etc.
ii) Welding, cutting, repair and maintenance work of fire vehicle etc.
For ASI (Motor Mechanic)
i) General Knowledge/test of Motor vehicle etc.
Ii) Vehicle maintenance, repair and servicing test/knowledge etc
For ASI (Auto Electrician)
i) General Knowledge test of Electrical work etc.
ii) Repair and maintenance work of electrical equipments run on Alternative Current (AC) / Direct Current (DC) and vehicles.
Medical Examination: Selected candidates in order of merit (equal to the allotted number of category wise vacancies) will be put through a detailed medical examination to assess their fitness.Final selection of candidates will be made according to availability of vacancies and subject to their declaring “FIT” in the medical examination.
Selected candidates would be required to undergo basic training for which they will be informed separately through offer of appointment letter. They will be on probation for a period of two years which can be extended. During the period of probation if found unfit for any reason the services are liable to be terminated
Candidates should come duly prepared under their own arrangements at the Examination Centre.
No TA will be admissible for the journey.

The envelope containing the application should be super scribed “Application for the post of ASI (Fitter) Or ASI (Motor Mechanic) Or ASI (Auto Electrician)” which-ever is applicable.
Candidates should apply for one post only.
Candidates failing in any of the prescribed tests will be eliminated at that stage.
Mobile Phone and Calculator are strictly prohibited at the Examination venue.
The Director General, CISF reserve the right to make changes or cancel or postpone the recruitment without assigning any reason.
Success in various stages of recruitment confers no right to appointment unless the department is satisfied after medical examination and such enquiry as may be considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respect for appointment to the service/post.
The vacancies may increase/decrease without any notice depending upon the position at the time of final selection.
The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent.
Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in the country according to transfer policy of the Force.
Upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
