About CMAT Exam
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is one of the most popular management entrance tests after CAT. Until 2018 the CMAT exam was administered and held by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) . From 2019 onwards, the CMAT will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). AICTE is no longer responsible for CMAT exam. The CMAT exam a gateway to MBA and PGDM programmes across B-schools in India. It is a national level entrance test conducted in online mode.

As per the marking scheme of CMAT 2014 exam, each correct answer was awarded with4 marks, while for each incorrect answer 1 mark was deducted. Unattempted questions received 0 mark.
CMAT 2014 Exam Analysis
As per candidates feedbacks, the General Awareness section was on tougher side while the Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation section was on the easiest side. The other two sections namely, Logical Reasoning and Language Comprehension sections were of moderate difficulty level.

CMAT Exam Analysis 2014: Sectional Overview
SECTION-I: Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation:
This section basically covered the following topics from Mathematics in the range of Easy to Moderate Level of difficulty:-

- Pipes & Cisterns
- Averages
- Profit & Loss
- Ratio & Percentages
- Probability
- Permutation & Combination
- Mensuration
- Co-ordinate Geometry
- Mixture & Alligation
Sets on D.I (Data Interpretation) accounted for simple and basic calculations like addition, percentages etc.
CMA 2014 Exam Analysis: SECTION-II
Verbal Ability
This section comprised of moderate level questions with a domination of Reading Comprehension. There were a total of 5 Reading Comprehension Passages with 3 questions per passages. It covered the essential Grammatical portions like: Para-jumbles, Fill in the blanks, vocabulary, Critical Reasoning, Idioms, Usage of Adjectives etc. Those candidates having basic Grammatical knowledge would have found this particular section to be somewhat easy.
SECTION-III
Analytical Reasoning
This particular section consisted of questions whose difficulty level can be catered from Moderate to Difficult. The basic level of Logical & Analytical Reasoning sets was the framework of this section. Besides, proper time allocation and selecting questions was key to attempt this section aptly. The topics covered were :

- Coding-Decoding
- Alphabet Series
SECTION: IV
General Awareness
One of those sections that always tease the candidates is General Awareness or G.A. The difficulty level was tough in this section, about 30% of the questions were from current Affairs. The other topics that this section covered were:

- Business
- Current Affairs
