CRPF, Bihar notifies Constable vacancies for 3 Naxal affected districts

    Office of the Inspector General, Central Reserve Police Force, Bihar Sector invited application for recruitment 852 posts of Constable (General Duty) in CAPFs, i.e., BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB & ITBP through special rally system in LWE affected Districts. Only male candidates from Naxal affected districts of Aurangabad, Gaya and Jamui in Bihar state are eligible to apply. The rally will be held from 27 May 2013 till 30 May 2013.

    Age Limit: Between 18 to 23 years (as on 1 January 2013).

    The upper age limit is relax-able for SC / ST candidates by 5 years and for OBC candidates by 3 years.


    Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs.2000 + dearness allowances / Ration Money, free accommodation, free uniform, free medical facilities, free leave pass once in a year.


    Education Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent.

     Physical Efficiency Test: 5 kms race to be completed within 24 minutes.


    Eye Sight: Minimum distance vision:  6/6 & 6/9 of both the eyes without correction, i.e., without wearing of glass; free from colour blindness.


    Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.


    Selection Procedure: Selection to the post of Constable (General Duty) in CAPFs through special rally is amulti staged process involving registration, Physical Efficiency Test / Physical Standards Test (PET / PST), Written test and medical examination.


    Candidates are required to report at the rally centre of the concerned block for the particular district (Aurangabad / Gaya / Jamui) at 0700 hours on the scheduled date for registration.  On reporting, their application forms will be collected and a registration slip for appearing in the recruitment process will be provided by the recruitment board. Recruitment process will continue thereafter till completion of review medical examination.


    After Registration, candidates will have to appear for PET / PST -- Height Bar Test, Race, Identification test & PST. 


    Candidates qualifying the height bar test will participate in the Race test to run 5 kilometers within 24 minutes. This will be of qualifying nature. Those who qualify in the race will be subjected to the modern biometric methods to obviate impersonation by the candidates. Those found eligible on Bio-metric identification will be subjected to Physical Standards Test. Candidates who qualify in the PST & PET will be required to appear in written test. The 2 hour written test will have atleast 100 objective type multiple choice questions, of one mark each, answers of which will be marked on a non-OMR answer system. Questions will be set bilingually in Hindi and English. Accordingly, the papers can be answered in any of these languages.


    Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be called for medical examination. After completion of review medical examination, district / category wise merit list in each category will be drawn separately on the basis of the aggregate marks scored by the Candidate in written test.


    The list of finally selected candidates will be displayed on the notice board of recruitment centre and CRPF website. Allocation of candidates to the CAPFs, i.e., BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB & ITBP will be made in order of merit-cum-choice with reference to vacancy notified as above.


    Offer of appointment will be issued as per the availability of vacancies in each category in order of merit by the respective CAPFs.


    How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their application, in the prescribed format, along with attested copies of required documents / certificates and 2 recent passport size photographs at the recruitment centre.  The recruitment will be conducted by special rally system at all the identified Districts of LWE State.


    Candidates should also bring original documents along for verification and produced them when asked for.


    • Necessary announcement related to recruitment process will be made on day to day basis for the candidates.
    • Only one application will be entertained from a candidate.
    • No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates appearing for the selection.
    • Candidates appointed will be liable to serve within or outside the Territory of India.
    • Candidates seeking resignation / discharge post appointment in CAPFs will be required to remit to a sum of equal to 3 months pay & allowances or the cost of training imparted to him, whichever is higher.
