Those students who are extremely talented and have zeal for further studies but are restricted due to their financial hardships would now get an opportunity to live their dreams. The Delhi University, under a special campaign to ensure that these students receive an holistic educational environment through equal learning opportunities, would now offer students from Classes V to IX of 90 MCD and NDMC schools financial assistance for their studies. This programme would help such kids to prosper and make their futures secure who drop their studies due to financial strain and pressure from the family to earn at tender ages.
Delhi University’s Cluster Innovation Centre (CIC) runs the programme named, ‘Gifted Education Mahaabhiyan’ under which such kids are getting there financial help for studies. The programme has been funded by the government’s Department of Science and Technology and has raked in Rs. 1.8 crore already.
