Deshbandhu College was founded in 1952 by the Ministry of Rehabilitation in the memory of late Sh. Deshbandhu Gupta. Functioning on the mantra “Karmanyevadhikaraste” – the college focuses on the overall growth of a student. Delhi University released the first cut off list on 26 June 2012.Some of the courses like English (hons) and Economic (hons) are still available in the college.
